Summary from Comixology:
“The brothers Barton double down against the bad guys as the Clown lays siege to their building. Can Hawkguy keep everyone safe against a killer nobody’s even seen yet? What happens when you’re locked up with your loser big brother for a week straight? You go nuts, right? Clint goes a little nuts.”
Well its finally that time of the month, it’s the day we get a new Hawkeye issue. I have talked with Stephen about how good this book is and how much it sucks waiting for a new issue every month. This issue was so worth the wait, my favorite thing about this series is how quick the issues go by. I personally hate reading a book and it feels like an eternity to read 27 pages, Hawkeye #15 flies by like an arrow (That was a terrible pun and I’m sorry.)
What I loved most about this issue is what a f—k up Clint is. I mean, for crying out loud, he somehow broke the string to his sweatpants and he was just moping around. I love how much of a failure Clint is and how truly, all he wants to do, is make a difference and help the people he cares about. I think we can all relate to that.
I read this issue twice and I really can’t find anything that I didn’t like about it. It was an all around great issue and honestly the best book I have read this year. It had humor along with some really serious moments when we see Clint as a guy that just wants to do what is right. And this ending will leave you feeling completely empty and needing issue #17 immediately. (I also really enjoy the interactions between the Barton brothers, it reminds me of my brother and I) So, as you head out to your LCS today to pick up your books, if this isn’t in your pull or you see extras on the shelves, go get this book. And if you haven’t read the other issues, pick up the trades and get started!
This book gets 4 out of 4. Go read this book my friends.
(As a little side note, issue 16 actually came out a month before this issue. The story of issues #16 and #14 is actually about Kate, also known as Lady Hawkeye, and her adventures in the fabulous Los Angeles County.)
