The Amazing Spider-Man #1

Thirteen months ago, Marvel killed off one of their most popular characters, Spider-Man (see Amazing Spider-Man #700). With the death of Peter Parker, Doc Octopus ended up switching his mind into Peter’s, and Peter’s mind went into the Doc’s. The Doctor was killed and “Peter” survived. This gave birth to one of Marvels most popular series during the Marvel Now titles, The Superior Spider-Man. In this title are the adventures of Spider-Man, but with the mind of Doc Oc.

So with all of this being said, many people were wondering how long it would be until Peter came back, for good. Well my friends, I have good news. In April we will see the return of the beloved New Yorker that slings web and roots for the Mets. Our friend Peter Parker will be back in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 by Dan Slott (who is the man behind the Amazing issue #700 and killing Parker). With Slott writing The Amazing Spider-Man it’s a great relief, and a pleasure knowing, that Peter will be back in great hands.

Hey look! Spider-Man looks like Andrew Garfield!

(On a side note, it’s funny to see that instead of doing Amazing Spider-Man #701, Marvel decided to reboot the series instead of a continuation of Amazing Spider-Man. When it comes to profit from the sales of a book, I think a number 1 will do better compared to a #701.)

Be sure to add Amazing Spider-Man to your pull box at your local shop because I’m pretty sure this might be the best seller of April!
